When his first case of his own arises, Ryouichi Naruhodou, who just completed law school, is working as an assistant at the firm of attorney Chihiro Ayasato. Masashi Yahari, Naruhodou's childhood best friend, has been charged with killing his fiancée. Yahari was one of the factors that led Naruhodou to choose law school, therefore he promptly resolves to represent his friend in court. But will Naruhodou be able to establish his client's innocence in this case as well as others?
