The space policewoman Birdy accidently kills the young child from Earth, Tsutomo, during one of her assignments. She absorbs his spirit into her body, which the two now have to employ in tandem to preserve his life. Although Tsutomo could now ostensibly have a normal life once more, aside from the issues brought on by his new roommate, Birdy's quest is still ongoing. To Tsutomo's dismay, she frequently retakes possession of the body to battle alien foes.
