Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai (translated as I Don't Have Many Friends) is a Japanese light novel series written by Yomi Hirasaka, illustrated by Buriki, and published by Media Factory. It tells the story of Kodaka Hasegawa, a transfer student to St. Chronica's Academy who finds it difficult to make friends due to his naturally-blond hair and fierce-looking eyes that make him appear intimidating. He soon meets Yozora Mikazuki, a girl who typically talks to her imaginary friend Tomo. Realizing that neither of them have any actual friends, they decide to form the Neighbor's Club in order to make friends and learn social skills. The story follows the club's everyday lives as they tackle various obstacles in order to be accepted in society.
The series has been adapted into several manga adaptations, an anime adaptation by AIC Build aired on October 2011 with 12 episodes, an OVA released on December 2012, and two video games for the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Vita respectively. There are also numerous light novels published which focus on different characters from the main series.
