Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu is a tactical role-playing game developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo for the Super Famicom in 1996. It is the fourth installment of the Fire Emblem series, and the third to be released in Japan. The story follows Sigurd, a prince of Grannvale who embarks on a quest to save his kingdom from destruction. He must enlist allies and battle enemies as he traverses across multiple countries in order to fulfill his destiny. Along the way, he discovers secrets about his family's past that will shape his future.
The player takes control of Sigurd's army as they fight their way through various battles with enemy forces. The game features a turn-based strategy system where players must strategically move their units around an isometric grid-based map in order to defeat enemies and complete objectives. In addition to this, there are several RPG elements such as character conversations, weapon upgrades, and support conversations between allied characters which can affect their relationships on the battlefield. With its deep strategic gameplay and compelling storyline, Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu has become one of the most beloved entries in the series and is considered by many fans to be one of the best games ever made.
