Naota is a regular boy passing the time with a regular girl beside a creek that runs beneath a bridge. In this community, nothing out of the ordinary occurs. Even the fact that the main character is afterwards struck by the vespa-riding Haruhara Haruko and then struck in the head with her Rickenbacker 4003 bass guitar have little impact on day-to-day existence. The seemingly random, odd, and at first look nonsensical events that followed don't alter Naota's mundane existence either because nothing extraordinary ever occurs in this town.
