Kyouko Hori is respected at her school for her kindness and intelligence, but she hides a secret from her peers: she is responsible for looking after her younger brother and running the home because her parents are frequently absent owing to work. She has no opportunity to socialize outside of school as a result.
Izumi Miyamura, on the other hand, is thought of by most as a somber, glasses-wearing otaku, but in truth he is a kind-hearted young man who frequently has learning difficulties. He also has multiple tattoos on his back, shoulder, and upper arm that he always covers up with long clothing, even on the hottest days. He also has nine piercings that he conceals beneath his long hair.
Both Hori and Miyamura are shocked to see that they act differently or perhaps completely different than usual when they cross paths by chance outside of school. However, both see this as a chance to learn more about one another without resorting to cliches and preconceptions.
