Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru (葉ぜが強く吹いている, lit. "The Wind is Blowing Strong") is a Japanese novel by Shiwo Kojima which was published in 2006. It tells the story of two high school students, Kakeru Kurahara and Haiji Kiyose, who join a track and field club at their university in order to achieve their dreams of running in the Hakone Ekiden relay race. The novel follows their journey as they grow as athletes and friends, overcoming obstacles such as injuries and personal issues. Along the way, they also learn about themselves and discover what it truly means to be part of a team. The novel has been adapted into an anime series that premiered in 2018.
