Since the end of the Great War 300 years ago, technology has advanced significantly and mankind have successfully colonized Mars. In this universe, Kudelia Aina Bernstein, a diplomat who supports Mars' independence from Earth, is protected by Mikazuki Augus, a guard of the private security firm CGS.
An army from Earth swiftly opposes the CGS independence movement, and the highest levels sacrifice Mikazuki and his crew in order to protect themselves and their own business. As a result, Orga Itsuka and his group, the majority of whom are lads, surround Mikazuki. When they are left on their own on the battlefield, they decide to organize a coup against their superiors. They are now engaged in combat as independent rebels, and Mikazuki is forced to use one of the most venerable and hazardous fighting robots: the Gundam Barbatos.
