A genetic experiment by a scientist many years ago led to the division of humanity into two groups. The Coordinators are genetically modified people who reside in space colonies, and the Naturals are regular people who increasingly despise the Coordinators due to their superiority in many areas. The Earth Alliance's use of a nuclear bomb to destroy a space colony causes the conflict to worsen. The numerically superior Earth Alliance was expected to triumph, but due to the Coordinators' superior technology, they are now equal opponents. As a result, the front lines have been fixed for the past 11 months, making it impossible for either side to gain an edge.
The spectator finds himself in Heliopolis, a colony of the unfriendly country of Orb, which is a serene and picturesque location. When his pals arrive to pick him up, a boy named Kira is sitting in the middle of a park figuring out something for his professor, but the apparent calm is deceiving. Because Earth has concealed a brand-new carrier ship and five potent Mobile Suits there, despite the fact that Heliopolis is a neutral colony. Due to this, some highly skilled warriors have set their sights on Heliopolis with the intention of stealing the five prototypes. Before Kira knows what is going on around him, there is a loud explosion that shakes the facility. He is forced to fend for himself after being cut off from his buddies and encounters his future captain Murue Ramius at the final Mobile Suit Strike that hasn't yet been seized. The two jump aboard the Gundam without any reluctance, and Kira controls Ramius into battle after the unit completely overwhelms him. After a tragic encounter with a soldier, his former comrade Athrun, his superior coordination ultimately propels him to triumph.
