The Nightmare Before Christmas is a 1993 stop-motion animated musical dark fantasy film directed by Henry Selick and produced/co-written by Tim Burton. It tells the story of Jack Skellington, the King of "Halloween Town" who stumbles through a portal to "Christmas Town" and decides to celebrate the holiday. However, his attempts to bring Christmas to his home causes confusion. The film features songs written by Danny Elfman and includes voice performances by Chris Sarandon, Catherine O'Hara, William Hickey, Ken Page, Paul Reubens and Glenn Shadix.
