Even while Koyomi Araragi still has some vampire characteristics, such as a remarkable capacity for self-healing, this does not shield him from Hitagi Senjougahara's abuse. The stories of Araragi's sisters Karen and Tsukihi are told in Nisemonogatari, which follows its predecessor Bakemonogatari in a continuous fashion.
