Middle school boy Jun Sakurada was criticized by his peers so severely after unintentionally winning a contest to design a princess dress that he stopped attending class and essentially cut himself off from the outside world. His sister Nori is now pretty much his sole remaining contact. Instead, he has developed a peculiar hobby where he orders various types of occult or purportedly magical gear online, just to ship it all back again just before the exchange period is out.
One day, he finds a letter on his desk that asks him to indicate whether to raise or not raise his hand; the message is supposed to be picked up later by a ghostly person. Jun can't help but tickle the former because he is so enamored with the topic. But this carelessness has repercussions: After that, he discovers a suitcase containing a doll, which he closes with a return letter. The doll suddenly comes to life, smacks Jun in the face, and announces itself as Shinku. Jun quickly faces an odd clown doll attack, so getting to know him is not exactly pleasant for Jun. He is forced to enter into a deal with the conceited Shinku.
Since he is now both her medium and servant, Jun becomes more and more entangled in a risky game where he will encounter more of these peculiar dolls.
