Rei, nicknamed Sailor Mars, had prophetic nightmares about the Messiah of Silence bringing about the end of the world at the start of the classic series' third season. The three sacred talismans, which are concealed in the purest hearts, are sought after by new villains who are up to no good. That two more Sailor warriors would up is all the more unexpected given that Uranus and Neptune desire the talismans for themselves in order to locate their own messiah to put an end to the evil. The two desire a solution in which no guy should give up his heart, but they do not wish to join forces with Bunny and the others.
The location of the talismans then comes as quite a surprise to everyone involved as Chibiusa soon emerges and transforms into Sailor ChibiMoon and Sailor Pluto. Since the Holy Grail comes with the aid of the talismans, the Messiah is given power regardless of which side he supports. Sailor Moon expands her own transformation with its aid. This does not, however, prevent the Messiah of Silence from rising, and his foes, the Death Busters, continue to gather sincere hearts to feed him. Unaware that in bashful Hotaru Tomoe, the Messiah of Silence and Sailor Saturn are fused, Chibiusa befriends her. Thus, after the Witches 5, the Death Busters' executive team, are wiped out and Pharaoh 90 emerges, the scenario progresses into a clash.
