Five females who all work in a tourism agency in their small, rural town are the central characters of the story. The five girls are chosen to serve as "monarchs," or, in other words, the program's tourism ambassadors, for the town's brand-new "Micro Nation" program, which had its beginnings during the Japanese bubble economy.
