The Umbrella Academy follows the (mis)adventures of the dysfunctional superhero family, the Hargreeves. Born from different mothers who mysteriously conceived them, the Hargreeves were adopted by the eccentric billionaire, Sir Reginald Hargreeves, and trained to fight crime. But after one of their own dies and another mysteriously disappears during the height of their popularity, the Hargreeves start drifting apart. Fast forward to today, the remaining members who are now adults are once again reunited to solve the mystery of their father's death and the once-thought-lost brother comes home to warn them of an impending apocalypse that they must stop - that is if they can learn to work together again.
The series is Netflix's adaptation of the comic book series created by Gerard Way of Dark Horse Comics. It stars Ellen Page (Vanya), Tom Hopper (Luther), David Castaneda (Diego), Emmy Raver-Lampman (Allison), Robert Sheehan (Klaus), and Aidan Gallagher (Number Five) as the crime-fighting Hargreeves family.
