Zero Escape : Virtue’s Last Reward is a visual novel and puzzle game developed by Chunsoft. It is the sequel to Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors (999). The story follows protagonist Sigma and several other characters as they are forced to participate in the Nonary Game: Ambidex Edition, a deadly game of life or death with nine participants. Players must solve puzzles and make choices that will affect the outcome of the story. The game features two distinct paths which can be played in any order: the “Infinity” route where players attempt to escape from the facility they are being held in and the “Nonary” route which focuses on uncovering secrets about each character’s past.
